Returning to School Resources for Children, Parents and Carers

As the wider opening of school approaches, we have collated some useful resources from Trauma Informed Schools UK for children, parents and carers who may well be feeling anxious.

Some children and young people may display some puzzling changes in behaviour after so long in lockdown, which may indicate anxiety. Even those keen to return may experience this. Below are some signs for parents and carers to look out for and how to respond:

In addition, starting on Wednesday 3rd March, Sheffield Parent Hub are running a series of repeated discussion group sessions on zoom for parents/carers, to help to think and talk through strategies for getting children back to school when they re-open more widely after 8th March.  Book a place using Eventbrite by clicking here.
